Role Overview
A rapidly scaling fintech initiative in Riyadh is seeking a highly analytical and operationally disciplined Senior Manager – Digital Finance Operations, Settlement Optimization & Platform Performance to lead the optimization of transaction processing, merchant settlements, and financial operational efficiency across high-volume payment systems.
This role is positioned at the core of fintech execution, where operational precision directly influences customer trust, merchant satisfaction, and institutional credibility. You will oversee the lifecycle of financial transactions—from initiation and authorization through settlement, reconciliation, and reporting—ensuring accuracy, speed, and compliance at every stage.
The position requires a professional who can transform operational data into actionable intelligence, continuously improving system performance while maintaining strict governance and regulatory alignment.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payment operations including transaction processing, settlement cycles, reconciliation workflows, and reporting
- Optimize merchant settlement frameworks to ensure timely payouts, accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as transaction success rates, settlement turnaround time, reconciliation accuracy, and exception resolution
- Manage operational risks including payment failures, settlement discrepancies, and processing delays
- Collaborate with acquiring partners, banking institutions, and payment processors to ensure seamless transaction execution
- Strengthen governance across financial controls, authorization processes, and operational workflows
- Lead automation initiatives to streamline reconciliation, reporting, and exception management processes
- Support compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements, AML standards, and customer fund protection obligations
- Develop operational dashboards and performance reporting for senior leadership
- Manage and mentor teams responsible for settlement operations, merchant services, and financial processing
- Support audit readiness, regulatory reviews, and internal control testing across operational processes
Required Candidate Profile
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in fintech operations, payment processing, or financial services
- Strong expertise in settlement systems, merchant acquiring, and transaction lifecycle management
- Experience with reconciliation tools, payment gateways, and operational analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance frameworks, and operational risk management
- Ability to manage high-volume transaction environments with strict deadlines
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Saudi fintech regulatory landscape preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience within digital banking or high-growth fintech environments
- Exposure to real-time payment systems and instant settlement models
- Knowledge of automation tools for financial operations optimization
