Role Overview
A high-volume fintech platform in Dubai is seeking a meticulous and analytically driven Senior Reconciliation & Settlement Officer – Digital Payments, Clearing Operations & Financial Integrity to oversee the end-to-end reconciliation and settlement lifecycle across complex payment ecosystems.
This role is mission-critical to financial accuracy and operational trust. You will ensure that every transaction—across payment gateways, digital wallets, acquiring banks, and merchant platforms—is accurately reconciled, properly settled, and fully accounted for within strict financial and regulatory frameworks.
Operating within a high-throughput environment, you will manage multi-channel transaction flows involving card payments, account-to-account transfers, and cross-border settlements, ensuring precision, timeliness, and transparency at every stage.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of transactions across payment systems, banks, and internal ledgers
- Manage settlement cycles, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of funds to merchants and partners
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, unmatched transactions, and settlement variances
- Monitor clearing processes across card networks, payment gateways, and financial institutions
- Maintain reconciliation reports, audit trails, and financial documentation
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and banking partners to ensure seamless transaction processing
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks for financial integrity
- Support audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements
- Automate reconciliation workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Track KPIs such as reconciliation accuracy, settlement timelines, and exception rates
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, AML standards, and operational policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in reconciliation, settlement operations, or financial services
- Strong understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and settlement cycles
- Experience with reconciliation tools, ERP systems, and financial reporting platforms
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage high-volume transaction environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication capabilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with card networks, payment gateways, or digital wallets
- Knowledge of automation tools for reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and financial compliance
- Exposure to cross-border payment reconciliation
