The Role
A data-intensive fintech environment in Qatar is seeking a Senior Frontend Platform Engineer to build the foundational frontend infrastructure powering financial analytics, reporting tools, and enterprise dashboards.
This role is less about building individual pages and more about creating frontend platforms that other developers can build upon.
Mission Statement
To engineer a frontend platform layer that enables:
- Rapid development of financial dashboards
- Consistent UI/UX across products
- Scalable handling of complex financial datasets
Core Responsibilities
Frontend Platform Development
- Design and maintain a scalable design system and component library.
- Build internal frontend frameworks to standardize development practices.
- Enable micro-frontend architectures across multiple products.
Data-Driven UI Engineering
- Develop interfaces capable of rendering large-scale financial datasets.
- Implement virtualization techniques for performance optimization.
- Integrate real-time data streams into frontend systems.
Developer Experience (DX) Optimization
- Improve tooling, documentation, and workflows for frontend teams.
- Standardize coding practices and enforce architectural consistency.
- Build CLI tools or utilities to accelerate frontend development.
Performance & Observability
- Monitor frontend performance using advanced analytics tools.
- Optimize rendering pipelines and reduce unnecessary re-renders.
- Implement logging and monitoring systems for frontend errors.
Technology Ecosystem
- Frameworks: React, Angular
- Languages: TypeScript
- Tools: Storybook, Nx, Turborepo
- Data Handling: GraphQL, REST APIs
- Monitoring: Sentry, Datadog
Candidate Profile
- 7–11+ years in frontend engineering
- Strong experience in platform or systems-level frontend development
- Expertise in performance optimization and scalable UI systems
- Experience with financial data visualization is a strong plus
