Position Summary

A fast-growing fintech environment in Oman is seeking a Senior Fintech Platform Developer (Python) to design and build intelligent backend systems powering digital lending operations, credit workflows, financial automation, customer onboarding, and compliance-driven transaction monitoring.

This role is tailored for engineers who can combine software excellence with deep financial process understanding—professionals capable of translating lending strategy, operational controls, and customer experience requirements into secure, scalable, and high-performing financial platforms.

You will help create systems that drive loan origination, underwriting support, repayment management, collections workflows, treasury automation, and AI-assisted risk intelligence across digital financial ecosystems.

The position requires strong ownership, architectural discipline, and a mindset focused on precision, compliance, and operational resilience.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based backend services supporting digital lending, repayment scheduling, collections workflows, and financial automation platforms
• Build secure APIs for onboarding, customer verification, KYC workflows, transaction monitoring, and third-party banking integrations
• Design rule engines for loan eligibility, credit assessment support, payment reminders, and financial decision automation
• Create workflow systems for treasury operations, settlements, refunds, and financial reconciliation
• Support fraud monitoring integrations, suspicious transaction reviews, and AI-powered financial intelligence tools
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across mission-critical lending and payment services
• Integrate external services such as payment processors, banking APIs, verification providers, and credit intelligence systems
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation, monitoring infrastructure, and platform scalability
• Maintain strong auditability and reporting frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations
• Participate in architecture planning, code governance, and continuous platform optimization
• Support operational reporting visibility for leadership, compliance teams, and financial controllers

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 4+ years of professional backend development experience with strong Python specialization
• Expertise in Django, FastAPI, Flask, or similar enterprise backend frameworks
• Strong knowledge of API development, asynchronous task processing, and distributed backend systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, message queues, and workflow automation architecture
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices
• Strong understanding of secure application development and sensitive financial data protection
• Prior experience in lending technology, fintech operations, digital banking, or payment systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with business and risk teams
• Excellent problem-solving mindset with operational discipline
