Role Overview
A fast-scaling financial technology ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a high-performing Senior Business Development Manager – Fintech Partnerships, Payments Expansion & Ecosystem Growth to drive strategic growth across payments infrastructure, merchant acquisition, and regional fintech partnerships.
This role is built for a commercially sharp professional who understands that modern fintech growth is driven not just by sales, but by ecosystem orchestration—where banks, merchants, platforms, regulators, and technology providers must be aligned into a scalable financial network.
You will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing high-value partnerships that expand payment acceptance, increase transaction volume, and unlock new revenue streams across digital wallets, payment gateways, and embedded finance solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business development strategy for fintech partnerships across payments, wallets, and merchant services
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment processors, fintech platforms, and enterprise merchants
- Drive revenue growth through new market acquisition, partner onboarding, and ecosystem expansion
- Negotiate commercial agreements, partnership structures, and revenue-sharing models
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new fintech products and services
- Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to ensure partner requirements are integrated into platform development
- Manage the full partnership lifecycle including prospecting, negotiation, integration, and performance optimization
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships across the fintech ecosystem
- Track KPIs including revenue contribution, transaction volume, partner performance, and market penetration
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and commercial frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or fintech sales
- Strong understanding of payments, digital banking, or financial services ecosystems
- Proven ability to close high-value commercial agreements and strategic partnerships
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret market and financial data
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fintech, payments, or banking industry partnerships
- Knowledge of cross-border payments and merchant acquiring systems
- Familiarity with embedded finance and API-based ecosystems
- Exposure to GCC fintech markets
