A sophisticated fintech institution in Doha is recruiting a highly experienced Principal Reconciliation & Settlement Specialist – Cross-Border Payments, Financial Controls & Transaction Governance to manage complex reconciliation and settlement processes across international payment networks and multi-currency financial systems.
This role is focused on ensuring financial accuracy and control within cross-border transaction environments—where multiple currencies, jurisdictions, and financial institutions interact.
You will oversee reconciliation across global payment flows, ensuring that funds are accurately tracked, settled, and reported in compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reconciliation of cross-border transactions across multiple currencies and payment networks
- Oversee settlement processes involving international banks, payment partners, and financial institutions
- Ensure accuracy of transaction records, fund movements, and financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies across global payment flows
- Strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks for cross-border operations
- Develop reporting systems for transaction tracking and reconciliation visibility
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless settlement processes
- Ensure compliance with Qatar financial regulations and international standards
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and financial reviews
- Optimize processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
- Mentor teams and contribute to operational strategy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in reconciliation, settlement, or financial operations
- Strong expertise in cross-border payments and multi-currency systems
- Experience with financial systems and reconciliation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and financial compliance
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with SWIFT and international payment systems
- Knowledge of treasury operations and liquidity management
- Exposure to digital asset settlement or advanced payment systems
- Familiarity with financial data analytics tools
