Strategic Role Overview
A sophisticated fintech institution in Doha is recruiting a highly creative and technically skilled Principal Product Designer – Financial Platforms, UX Innovation & Customer Journey Engineering to lead the design of next-generation financial experiences across digital banking, payments, and customer platforms.
This role is focused on transforming complex financial processes into simple, elegant, and intuitive user experiences. You will design interfaces and journeys that make financial interactions seamless, transparent, and engaging—while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the institution’s design philosophy, ensuring that every product reflects excellence in usability, accessibility, and visual design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX/UI design for digital banking platforms, payment systems, and customer-facing applications
- Design end-to-end user journeys covering onboarding, transactions, account management, and financial services
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless implementation of designs
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in design solutions
- Optimize user experience based on data, feedback, and performance metrics
- Align design practices with Qatar financial regulations and security requirements
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to design leadership
- Explore innovative design trends and technologies to enhance user experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in fintech or digital platforms
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and user-centered solutions
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with financial products and systems preferred

- Experience with motion design and micro-interactions
- Knowledge of design systems and scalable design frameworks
- Exposure to AI-driven personalization and adaptive interfaces
