Role Overview

A rapidly expanding fintech initiative in Riyadh is seeking a highly analytical Lead Quantitative Analyst – Credit Risk Modeling, Portfolio Analytics & Predictive Intelligence to lead the development of advanced credit risk models and portfolio optimization strategies across consumer and SME lending products.

This role is central to balancing growth and risk within lending operations. You will design predictive models that assess borrower behavior, estimate default probabilities, and optimize portfolio performance using both traditional financial data and alternative data sources.

The successful candidate will combine deep statistical expertise with practical business understanding to drive smarter lending decisions and sustainable portfolio growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit risk models including probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and exposure at default (EAD)
  • Build predictive analytics frameworks using machine learning and statistical techniques
  • Analyze portfolio performance, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience
  • Optimize lending strategies through data-driven insights and risk-adjusted pricing
  • Collaborate with product, risk, and engineering teams to integrate models into lending platforms
  • Monitor model performance and recalibrate based on evolving data and market conditions
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory frameworks and financial standards
  • Develop reporting tools and dashboards for senior management
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to quantitative strategy development

Required Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, credit risk modeling, or financial analytics
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar tools
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling, regression analysis, and machine learning
  • Experience with credit scoring systems and lending platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Saudi fintech and regulatory environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with big data platforms and real-time analytics
  • Knowledge of alternative credit data and behavioral modeling
  • Exposure to AI-driven risk analytics
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and portfolio optimization techniques
