Role Overview
An advanced financial innovation platform in Riyadh is expanding its blockchain division and is seeking a visionary Lead Blockchain Product Architect to design and oversee mission-critical distributed ledger solutions for institutional finance and digital asset infrastructure.
This position requires a rare combination of technical depth, product strategy, financial systems understanding, and enterprise architecture expertise. The successful candidate will lead the architecture of blockchain-powered financial products including tokenized settlement systems, smart contract frameworks, digital custody workflows, institutional transaction rails, and regulated digital asset platforms.
This is a strategic leadership role for professionals capable of translating complex blockchain capabilities into secure, compliant, and commercially scalable financial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade blockchain architecture for institutional fintech products and digital asset ecosystems
- Lead technical strategy for smart contracts, tokenization models, custody workflows, settlement layers, and ledger integrations
- Build scalable blockchain infrastructure aligned with financial security, auditability, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with compliance and governance teams to ensure product frameworks meet Saudi regulatory expectations and institutional standards
- Define product architecture for digital asset transaction systems, treasury settlement, and programmable finance workflows
- Evaluate blockchain protocols, interoperability layers, and Layer-2 scalability solutions for enterprise deployment
- Oversee security frameworks including key management, wallet architecture, access controls, and transaction authorization
- Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, product, and executive leadership teams on strategic delivery priorities
- Lead architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical governance committees
- Ensure performance optimization across decentralized infrastructure and integration with legacy financial systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in fintech architecture, blockchain engineering, or enterprise financial systems
- Strong experience with distributed ledger technologies, smart contracts, tokenization frameworks, and digital asset infrastructure
- Deep understanding of enterprise system architecture, API integrations, secure development, and financial data flows
- Experience working within regulated financial environments and institutional transaction systems
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic security, wallet systems, and blockchain governance models
- Proven leadership in high-scale product delivery and architecture decision-making
- Strong communication skills for technical and executive stakeholder alignment
