Position Overview

An advanced fintech ecosystem in Dubai is hiring a Fintech Platform Software Developer (Python) to build intelligent financial platforms supporting lending automation, digital onboarding, compliance workflows, risk engines, and API-driven payment services.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical engineer who combines software craftsmanship with deep business logic understanding across financial systems. You will be responsible for designing and building backend platforms that automate lending decisions, payment workflows, treasury operations, customer verification, and financial intelligence reporting.

The position demands strong technical ownership, system thinking, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and compliant platforms that operate at enterprise fintech standards.

You will work closely with product strategists, credit risk analysts, compliance officers, data engineers, and platform architects to deliver high-value digital financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services powering lending workflows, financial automation, and payment orchestration systems
• Build rule engines for loan origination, underwriting support, repayment scheduling, and collections workflows
• Design secure APIs for customer onboarding, KYC verification, transaction monitoring, and partner integrations
• Develop financial workflow automation tools for treasury operations, settlements, refunds, and account reconciliation
• Support AI-driven fraud monitoring and risk scoring integrations across financial platforms
• Improve platform performance, observability, and operational resilience for mission-critical financial services
• Integrate external services such as payment processors, identity verification providers, banking APIs, and credit intelligence systems
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment automation, system monitoring, and cloud infrastructure optimization
• Participate in architecture reviews, code quality enforcement, and software reliability improvements
• Build reporting frameworks for compliance visibility and executive financial monitoring
• Maintain strong auditability and security across all customer and transaction-related workflows

Required Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 4+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Python
• Strong experience with Django, FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent backend frameworks
• Deep understanding of API development, asynchronous processing, and scalable backend architecture
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, message queues, and workflow automation systems
• Experience with cloud services, containerization, and CI/CD implementation
• Strong knowledge of secure application development and financial data protection standards
• Experience within fintech, lending technology, payments, or digital banking environments is highly desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to translate financial business requirements into scalable software solutions
