As a Digital Payments Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, engineering, and optimizing next-generation payment rails that support high-volume, low-latency financial operations across domestic and cross-border environments.
Core Mandate
You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of payment infrastructure systems, ensuring seamless integration across card networks, mobile wallets, API gateways, and clearing/settlement layers. The role demands a deep understanding of modern payment protocols, including ISO 20022 messaging standards, tokenization frameworks, and fraud detection mechanisms powered by machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy distributed payment systems capable of handling millions of concurrent transactions.
- Integrate real-time payment schemes and ensure compliance with regional regulatory frameworks such as UAE Central Bank directives.
- Design API-first financial services enabling interoperability between banks, fintech platforms, and third-party providers.
- Oversee transaction monitoring systems with embedded AI-driven anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce PCI-DSS standards and data protection protocols.
Required Expertise
- Strong proficiency in payment gateways, switching systems, and transaction routing.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of blockchain-based settlement layers is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the GCC financial ecosystem.
