In this environment, a Staff Flutter Engineer is required to build and evolve a mobile-first financial system that operates across jurisdictions, currencies, and regulatory frameworks.
This role is fundamentally about engineering trust, speed, and accuracy into every mobile interaction involving money movement.
Mission-Critical Objective
To design and deliver a Flutter-based mobile application layer that enables:
- Seamless international remittances
- Real-time exchange rate visibility
- Transaction transparency across borders
Core Engineering Responsibilities
1. Mobile Systems Architecture
- Define and implement scalable Flutter architectures using Clean Architecture and domain-driven design principles.
- Modularize the codebase to support independent feature deployment and rapid iteration.
- Establish patterns for dependency injection, state isolation, and testability.
2. Financial Transaction Flows
- Engineer end-to-end mobile flows for sending and receiving international transfers.
- Implement real-time transaction tracking with status updates across multiple stages.
- Design intuitive UI patterns for fees, exchange rates, and confirmation steps.
3. Real-Time Data & Performance Engineering
- Integrate streaming data (exchange rates, transaction statuses) with minimal latency.
- Optimize Flutter rendering pipelines for smooth performance on mid- and low-tier devices.
- Implement efficient caching and synchronization strategies.
4. Security & Compliance at the Mobile Layer
- Enforce secure coding practices including encrypted storage and secure API handling.
- Integrate biometric authentication and multi-factor verification flows.
- Ensure mobile-side compliance with financial data protection requirements.
5. Backend Collaboration & API Integration
- Work closely with backend engineers to define contract-driven API integrations.
- Handle edge cases such as network instability, retries, and partial failures.
- Ensure consistency between mobile state and backend financial records.
Technology Ecosystem
- Framework: Flutter (Dart)
- Architecture: Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design
- State Management: Bloc, Riverpod
- Networking: REST, WebSockets
- Tooling: Firebase, Git, CI/CD pipelines
Candidate Profile
- 7–11+ years in mobile engineering, with 4+ years in Flutter
- Strong experience building fintech, payments, or transaction-heavy applications
- Deep understanding of performance optimization and asynchronous programming
- Ability to think in terms of systems, not just screens
