An ambitious financial technology organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Payments Software Developer to design and engineer secure, high-performance payment ecosystems supporting financial institutions, merchants, and enterprise clients across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
This role is ideal for an experienced developer passionate about creating mission-critical software capable of processing millions of secure transactions while delivering exceptional reliability, scalability, and user experience. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will influence the architecture of next-generation payment infrastructure and contribute to innovative financial solutions that redefine digital commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade payment applications.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices.
- Develop secure transaction processing systems with high availability.
- Integrate payment gateways, digital wallets, and banking interfaces.
- Implement advanced authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Optimize application performance for high-volume financial transactions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate software deployment.
- Develop reusable software libraries and frameworks.
- Conduct architecture reviews and technical design sessions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Troubleshoot production environments and perform root-cause analysis.
- Mentor junior developers and encourage engineering excellence.
- Ensure software aligns with international security and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of enterprise software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, or C#.
- Experience with Spring Boot or ASP.NET Core.
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle Database.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD automation.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
