The Strategic Opportunity

A rapidly expanding financial technology institution driving high-volume payment operations across the GCC is seeking a highly accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer – Digital Payments Infrastructure & Cloud Reliability to lead the design, automation, and operational resilience of mission-critical fintech platforms powering digital payments, merchant acquiring systems, API banking services, and real-time financial transaction ecosystems.

This is not a routine infrastructure role. It is a high-impact engineering position where platform stability directly influences customer trust, transaction success, financial continuity, and institutional growth. The successful engineer will build and optimize the cloud-native foundations that support millions of financial interactions across payments, settlements, treasury integrations, fraud monitoring, and customer financial services.

This role is ideal for a DevOps professional who understands that in fintech, uptime is not convenience—it is financial responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure supporting payment gateways, digital wallets, transaction systems, treasury integrations, and financial reporting platforms

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines ensuring secure, fast, and reliable deployment across fintech applications and backend services

• Strengthen platform reliability through infrastructure as code, automation frameworks, observability systems, and proactive incident prevention

• Improve container orchestration environments across Kubernetes clusters, microservices architecture, and distributed payment systems

• Collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity teams, compliance leaders, and product stakeholders to deliver secure production environments

• Manage monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response frameworks across high-volume transaction operations

• Strengthen disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, failover systems, and operational resilience across critical financial platforms

• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards, financial security controls, and enterprise governance requirements

• Support performance optimization across databases, API systems, transaction flows, and infrastructure scaling strategies

• Mentor engineering teams while promoting DevOps best practices and long-term platform modernization initiatives

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field

• 5–8+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience within fintech, banking, payments, or high-availability digital environments

• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with deep experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms

• Experience managing high-volume transaction systems, financial APIs, and cloud-native distributed architecture

• Strong knowledge of observability tools, monitoring systems, incident management, and infrastructure security

• Familiarity with compliance-driven environments and secure financial platform operations

• Excellent problem-solving ability with strong operational ownership mindset
