THE MISSION
As financial services become increasingly digital, trust becomes infrastructure.
Every payment, account, API, identity and financial transaction represents a potential attack surface. The Principal will establish the security architecture and intelligence framework required to protect sophisticated fintech environments without compromising speed, usability or innovation.
This is a strategic cybersecurity role for a professional capable of thinking beyond individual security controls and designing end-to-end digital trust architectures.
CORE MANDATE

Define enterprise cybersecurity strategy for fintech platforms.

Architect security frameworks for digital banking and payment infrastructure.

Establish identity, access and privileged-access strategies.

Strengthen API and cloud-security architecture.

Develop security controls for high-volume transaction environments.
-
Integrate threat intelligence into operational security programmes.

Establish security-by-design principles across product development.
-
Lead vulnerability-management and security-assurance initiatives.

Evaluate emerging cyber threats affecting AI and financial platforms.
-
Partner with engineering, architecture, risk and product leadership.

Develop incident-response and cyber-resilience frameworks.

Identity & Access
Develop robust identity architectures protecting customers, employees, applications and privileged environments.
Application Security
Embed security controls throughout the software-development lifecycle.
Cloud Security
Establish resilient security architectures for cloud-based financial infrastructure.
Payment Security
Protect transaction environments against manipulation, credential compromise and malicious activity.
AI Security
Assess threats emerging from AI-enabled systems, automated decisioning and model-integrated applications.
SUCCESS FRAMEWORK
Security effectiveness will be measured through:
Threat Detection → Response Speed → Vulnerability Reduction → Resilience → Identity Protection → Platform Availability
IDEAL PROFILE

10+ years in cybersecurity, financial technology, banking security or enterprise technology.

Strong experience with financial or mission-critical systems.

Advanced understanding of cloud, application and network security.

Experience with identity and access-management architecture.

Strong knowledge of cyber-risk and threat intelligence.

Demonstrated leadership of complex security programmes.

Excellent executive communication and strategic-thinking skills.
INDICATIVE PACKAGE
BHD 4,500–7,000 monthly, depending on experience and strategic scope, with potential performance incentives and executive benefits.
