A leading next-generation fintech institution is seeking a highly accomplished Principal – Cybersecurity Engineering to spearhead enterprise security architecture across digital banking, payment infrastructure, cloud platforms, and financial technology services. This role is designed for a cybersecurity leader capable of protecting mission-critical financial systems while driving innovation within an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape.
As Principal, you will define the organization’s long-term cyber defense strategy, ensuring resilience against advanced persistent threats, ransomware, financial fraud, supply-chain attacks, insider risks, and emerging AI-enabled cyber threats.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design enterprise cybersecurity architecture for fintech platforms and digital banking services.
- Lead Zero Trust security implementation across cloud-native environments.
- Secure payment gateways, API ecosystems, mobile banking applications, and financial platforms.
- Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) engineering and threat detection capabilities.
- Develop cloud security controls across multi-cloud environments.
- Lead penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability management, and attack simulations.
- Strengthen identity governance, privileged access management, and authentication frameworks.
- Establish DevSecOps practices within software delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with compliance, infrastructure, engineering, and executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through security automation and AI-assisted threat intelligence.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience within banking, fintech, or digital financial services.
- Deep expertise in cloud security, network security, endpoint protection, SIEM, EDR, IAM, and API security.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
