The Strategic Opportunity
A high-growth financial services institution is searching for a highly specialized Principal Financial Systems Engineer – Treasury Operations & Core Banking Infrastructure to lead engineering excellence across treasury platforms, liquidity systems, enterprise banking integrations, and mission-critical institutional financial infrastructure.
This position sits at the heart of financial operations where technology directly determines resilience, compliance, and strategic financial performance. The successful engineer will architect and optimize systems supporting treasury workflows, liquidity forecasting, multi-currency settlements, payment reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and institutional banking modernization.
This role requires an engineer who understands that stability, precision, and operational trust are not optional—they are fundamental requirements for modern financial institutions.

Primary Responsibilities
• Design and optimize platform architecture for treasury operations, settlement systems, liquidity management, and enterprise banking integrations
• Build scalable backend infrastructure supporting financial reporting, reconciliation workflows, treasury automation, and strategic financial intelligence systems
• Improve reliability across institutional payment flows, liquidity controls, and high-value transaction environments
• Collaborate with CFO operations, finance teams, compliance specialists, cybersecurity professionals, and infrastructure engineers
• Develop secure integrations between banking systems, ERP platforms, treasury dashboards, and enterprise reporting architecture
• Strengthen observability, resilience engineering, disaster recovery planning, and platform security standards
• Support modernization involving API banking frameworks, cloud transformation, and operational automation initiatives
• Ensure engineering delivery aligns with Qatar regulatory requirements, audit readiness, and financial governance standards
• Lead technical architecture strategy for treasury platform modernization and institutional financial infrastructure growth
• Provide senior mentorship and strategic technical guidance across engineering teams
Required Expertise
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related discipline
• 8–12+ years of engineering experience across banking systems, fintech infrastructure, treasury platforms, or enterprise financial technology
• Strong expertise in Java, Go, Python, distributed systems, cloud engineering, and platform architecture
• Experience with ERP integrations, treasury systems, payment operations, and financial reporting platforms
• Strong understanding of compliance-driven engineering and audit-ready financial infrastructure
• Excellent architectural decision-making and executive stakeholder communication skills
