You are not building a payments feature.
You are engineering a cross-border value transfer engine that must:
- Move funds across jurisdictions in seconds, not days
- Minimize FX leakage through algorithmic optimization
- Provide full transparency across multi-hop payment routes
Core System Modules You Will Own
1. Payment Orchestration Engine
- Dynamic routing across SWIFT, instant payment rails, and alternative settlement layers
- Intelligent path selection based on cost, speed, and liquidity availability
2. FX Optimization Engine
- Real-time FX pricing models
- Smart hedging strategies minimizing exposure
- Liquidity aggregation across multiple providers
3. Liquidity Intelligence Layer
- Predictive liquidity forecasting models
- Capital allocation optimization across corridors
- Intraday liquidity balancing systems
4. Reconciliation & Settlement Engine
- Automated reconciliation with near-zero tolerance for mismatch
- Full traceability across transaction lifecycle
- Exception handling systems with deterministic resolution paths

- 12–18 years in payments, treasury systems, or financial infrastructure

Compensation
- $280,000 – $520,000 annually
