Principal Engineer – Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Risk & Protocol Security Systems

SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Objective: Build a secure, scalable, and regulator-aware DeFi infrastructure layer capable of supporting lending protocols, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and liquidity pools, while mitigating systemic risks inherent in decentralized ecosystems.
ARCHITECTURE COMPONENTS
A. Smart Contract Security Layer
- Design and audit smart contracts using:
- Formal verification techniques
- Static and dynamic analysis tools
- Implement upgradeable contract frameworks with governance controls
B. Risk Engine & Protocol Monitoring
- Develop real-time risk engines to monitor:
- Liquidity pool imbalances
- Collateralization ratios
- Market volatility exposure
- Integrate oracle systems for reliable price feeds
C. DeFi Compliance Abstraction Layer
- Build compliance wrappers enabling:
- KYC/AML integration without compromising decentralization
- Transaction monitoring and reporting
- Align with evolving UAE digital asset regulatory frameworks
D. Attack Surface Mitigation
- Identify and mitigate:
- Flash loan attacks
- Reentrancy vulnerabilities
- Oracle manipulation risks
- Implement circuit breakers and fail-safe mechanisms
TECH STACK SPECIFICATION
- Blockchain: Ethereum, Layer-2 solutions (Optimistic/ZK Rollups)
- Languages: Solidity, Rust
- Tooling: Hardhat, Foundry, Slither, MythX
- Infrastructure: Node clusters, decentralized storage (IPFS)

- Smart contract vulnerability rate
- Protocol uptime and resilience
- Liquidity stability metrics
- Incident response time
IDEAL PROFILE
- 8–15 years in blockchain engineering or fintech infrastructure
- Proven experience in DeFi protocol development or auditing
