A high-growth financial services institution is searching for a highly specialized Principal Blockchain Platform Engineer – Treasury Systems & Institutional Settlement Networks to lead the modernization of treasury infrastructure, multi-party settlement systems, and enterprise-wide financial transaction networks powered by blockchain architecture.

This position sits at the intersection of treasury strategy, institutional payments, liquidity operations, and distributed ledger engineering. The successful engineer will architect the technical systems that improve settlement speed, reduce reconciliation friction, strengthen liquidity visibility, and create transparent institutional financial operations across multiple markets.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and optimize blockchain platform architecture supporting treasury operations, institutional settlements, liquidity workflows, and multi-party transaction environments

• Build scalable backend systems connecting distributed ledger infrastructure with enterprise banking systems, ERP platforms, and treasury reporting frameworks

• Improve reliability across payment settlements, financial reconciliation, liquidity controls, and audit-ready transaction visibility

• Collaborate with CFO operations, treasury teams, compliance leaders, cybersecurity specialists, and enterprise platform engineers

• Develop secure integrations across blockchain networks, banking infrastructure, treasury dashboards, and enterprise financial reporting systems

• Strengthen observability, resilience engineering, disaster recovery planning, and platform security across institutional financial environments

• Support modernization involving tokenized settlement systems, digital asset treasury operations, and programmable liquidity frameworks

• Ensure engineering delivery aligns with Qatar regulatory requirements, enterprise governance policies, and financial control standards

• Lead technical architecture strategy for blockchain-powered treasury modernization and institutional financial infrastructure growth

• Provide senior mentorship and strategic engineering leadership across blockchain and platform teams

Required Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related discipline

• 8–12+ years of engineering experience across banking systems, fintech infrastructure, blockchain platforms, or treasury technology

• Strong expertise in Go, Rust, Java, Python, distributed systems, and enterprise platform architecture

• Experience with blockchain integrations, treasury systems, institutional settlements, and financial reporting platforms

• Strong understanding of compliance-driven engineering and audit-ready financial infrastructure

• Excellent architectural decision-making and executive stakeholder communication skills
