A next-generation financial services institution is searching for a highly specialized Principal Blockchain Platform Engineer – Treasury Networks & Cross-Border Settlement Systems to lead the modernization of institutional treasury infrastructure, multi-party financial settlements, and cross-border transaction frameworks powered by blockchain architecture.

This role sits at the strategic intersection of treasury operations, institutional liquidity management, distributed ledger engineering, and international payment efficiency. The successful professional will design systems that reduce settlement delays, improve financial visibility, strengthen liquidity controls, and create highly transparent multi-market financial operations.

This position demands a platform engineer who understands that blockchain must serve measurable business outcomes—faster settlements, stronger compliance visibility, lower operational friction, and resilient institutional financial control.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design blockchain platform architecture supporting treasury settlements, cross-border transactions, liquidity workflows, and institutional financial networks

• Build scalable backend systems integrating distributed ledger infrastructure with treasury operations, banking platforms, and enterprise reporting environments

• Improve settlement reliability, reconciliation efficiency, liquidity controls, and financial reporting transparency across multi-market operations

• Collaborate with treasury leadership, CFO operations, compliance teams, cybersecurity specialists, and enterprise platform engineers

• Develop secure integrations across blockchain networks, banking APIs, treasury dashboards, ERP systems, and settlement frameworks

• Strengthen disaster recovery planning, resilience engineering, observability frameworks, and platform security across financial operations

• Support modernization involving tokenized treasury settlements, programmable liquidity systems, and institutional digital asset operations

• Ensure all engineering delivery aligns with Oman regulatory requirements, audit readiness, and enterprise financial governance policies

• Lead technical architecture strategy for blockchain-enabled treasury modernization and financial infrastructure growth

• Provide senior engineering mentorship and strategic leadership across blockchain and platform teams

Required Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related discipline

• 8–12+ years of engineering experience across fintech infrastructure, banking systems, blockchain platforms, or treasury technology

• Strong expertise in Go, Rust, Java, Python, distributed systems, enterprise architecture, and blockchain integrations

• Experience with treasury systems, cross-border payments, institutional settlements, and financial reporting platforms

• Strong understanding of compliance-driven engineering and audit-ready infrastructure design

• Excellent executive communication skills and high-level architectural decision-making ability
