The Strategic Opportunity
A next-generation financial innovation platform is hiring a highly strategic Lead Financial Platform Engineer – Embedded Finance & Intelligent Lending Systems to lead the design and development of lending ecosystems, embedded finance platforms, and intelligent financial products serving businesses, consumers, and merchant finance operations.
This role requires a highly technical engineer capable of building systems that support customer onboarding, digital underwriting, BNPL ecosystems, merchant lending, SME financing, automated repayments, and AI-enhanced credit decisioning.
The successful engineer will play a major role in transforming traditional financial access into seamless, automated, and highly scalable digital finance experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead platform engineering strategy across digital lending systems, embedded finance products, and customer credit delivery ecosystems
• Build scalable architecture supporting loan origination, underwriting workflows, repayment systems, and financial servicing operations
• Design secure APIs for embedded checkout finance, merchant funding, partner lending integrations, and customer onboarding journeys
• Collaborate with product teams, credit operations, compliance leaders, treasury specialists, and cybersecurity experts
• Improve system performance, transaction visibility, and customer-facing financial workflow reliability
• Strengthen data architecture, underwriting decision systems, and compliance-driven operational controls
• Support innovation involving AI-powered underwriting, alternative data scoring, and automated financial decision engines
• Lead technical reviews and engineering governance across lending technology teams
• Mentor developers and establish strong engineering standards for platform modernization
• Drive long-term architecture planning across embedded finance and next-generation lending systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical qualification
• 6–10+ years of engineering experience across fintech, lending platforms, banking systems, or embedded finance products
• Strong expertise in APIs, distributed systems, backend architecture, and cloud-native platform engineering
• Experience building financial systems involving lending operations, payments, treasury systems, or embedded finance
• Strong understanding of security controls, compliance requirements, and modern engineering best practices
• Excellent leadership capabilities and strategic problem-solving mindset
