About the Role

An innovative fintech company is seeking a results-oriented Head of Merchant Acquisition & Strategic Partnerships to lead the expansion of its merchant ecosystem throughout the Gulf region.

This leadership role focuses on acquiring enterprise merchants, developing strategic alliances, increasing payment acceptance, and delivering commercial growth through innovative payment technologies and embedded financial services.


Your Responsibilities

Commercial Growth

  • Develop merchant acquisition strategies.
  • Expand enterprise client portfolios.
  • Drive regional revenue growth.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities.

Partnership Development

  • Build relationships with retailers, hospitality groups, e-commerce businesses, healthcare providers, and logistics organisations.
  • Negotiate commercial partnership agreements.
  • Expand distribution networks.

Leadership

  • Manage merchant sales teams.
  • Coach business development professionals.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product departments.

Market Intelligence

  • Analyse industry trends.
  • Monitor competitor activity.
  • Recommend new growth initiatives.
  • Improve customer retention programmes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
  • 8–12 years of B2B sales or business development experience in fintech, payments, banking, or technology.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
