A fast-scaling financial technology institution transforming the future of digital finance across the GCC is seeking an exceptional Group Head of Blockchain Engineering – Digital Asset Infrastructure & Payment Networks to lead enterprise-wide blockchain architecture, institutional digital asset operations, payment modernization, and distributed ledger innovation across high-value financial ecosystems.

This is not a conventional development role. It is a high-impact executive engineering position for a leader who understands that blockchain is evolving from innovation theory into critical financial infrastructure powering cross-border settlements, treasury efficiency, asset tokenization, programmable finance, and institutional transaction trust.

The successful executive will oversee the engineering strategy behind blockchain-powered payment rails, enterprise wallet systems, tokenized asset platforms, treasury-linked settlement frameworks, secure smart contract architecture, and large-scale financial network integrations across regulated fintech environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise blockchain engineering strategy across institutional payments, treasury settlements, digital asset infrastructure, and programmable financial operations

• Design and oversee secure smart contract architecture for automated settlement workflows, financial governance, payment execution, and enterprise transaction controls

• Build scalable blockchain integrations connecting payment platforms, treasury systems, banking infrastructure, and institutional reporting environments

• Strengthen digital wallet architecture, key management systems, custody security frameworks, and transaction authorization models

• Collaborate with compliance, treasury, cybersecurity, legal, product, and platform engineering teams to ensure secure regulatory-aligned blockchain delivery

• Improve distributed ledger resilience across node operations, blockchain observability, transaction monitoring, and enterprise fault tolerance

• Support architecture involving Ethereum-compatible systems, private permissioned ledgers, Layer-2 frameworks, and institutional settlement networks

• Ensure financial reporting integrity across on-chain and off-chain operations with strong audit readiness and governance visibility

• Lead technical architecture reviews, blockchain modernization roadmaps, and long-term digital finance infrastructure strategy

• Mentor senior engineering teams while establishing enterprise blockchain security and governance standards

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, or related technical discipline

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years focused on blockchain architecture within fintech, payments, or financial services

• Strong expertise in Solidity, Rust, Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and distributed ledger architecture

• Experience building smart contracts, blockchain APIs, institutional settlement systems, and financial transaction platforms

• Strong understanding of EVM ecosystems, private chains, Layer-2 infrastructure, wallet security, and digital asset operations

• Familiarity with treasury systems, payment settlements, and compliance-driven financial engineering

• Exceptional leadership capability with executive stakeholder communication and strategic decision-making skills
