Position Overview
As fintech ecosystems expand, so do the complexities of securing digital financial infrastructures. This role calls for a Fintech Cybersecurity & Fraud Prevention Lead who can combine technical security expertise with strategic risk management, ensuring that financial platforms remain resilient against evolving cyber threats.
Core Mandate
To design, implement, and continuously enhance security frameworks and fraud prevention systems that protect digital financial transactions, user data, and platform integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Architecture
- Develop and oversee security frameworks for fintech platforms, including network security, data protection, and access control systems.
- Implement encryption protocols and secure authentication mechanisms.
Fraud Detection & Prevention
- Design systems to detect fraudulent activities using behavioral analytics and anomaly detection techniques.
- Collaborate with data teams to integrate machine learning models for fraud prediction.
Risk Assessment & Incident Response
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Lead incident response efforts, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure alignment with financial cybersecurity standards and regulatory expectations in Qatar.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for audit and compliance purposes.
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO standards, NIST).
- Experience with fraud detection tools and transaction monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with cloud security, encryption, and identity management solutions.
Candidate Profile
- 7–10 years in cybersecurity, fintech risk, or fraud prevention roles.
- Strong understanding of digital financial systems and threat landscapes.
- Ability to bridge technical execution with strategic oversight.
