Position: Remote Fintech Cross-Border Settlement Optimization Specialist
Location: Remote (Kingdom of Bahrain)

Cross-border financial flows remain one of the most complex and cost-intensive components of global finance. Within Bahrain’s increasingly interconnected fintech landscape, there is a strategic need for a specialist who can re-engineer settlement pathways, reduce friction, and enhance transparency in international payment flows.
The Cross-Border Settlement Optimization Specialist will function as a systems-level strategist focused on improving how money moves between jurisdictions, currencies, and financial networks.
Strategic Mission Objectives
- Reduce inefficiencies in international settlement cycles
- Optimize foreign exchange and multi-currency transaction flows
- Improve transparency and traceability in cross-border payments
- Support faster, lower-cost global financial transfers
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze existing cross-border payment corridors and identify inefficiencies
- Map end-to-end settlement flows across banks, correspondent networks, and fintech rails
- Design optimization strategies to reduce settlement delays and transaction costs
- Evaluate alternative payment infrastructures including real-time payment systems and distributed ledger solutions
- Collaborate with regulatory and compliance frameworks to ensure cross-border alignment
- Develop performance benchmarks for international payment efficiency
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments, FX systems, and settlement mechanisms
- Familiarity with correspondent banking systems and international payment networks
- Knowledge of emerging fintech rails such as real-time payments and blockchain settlement systems
- Analytical capability in financial systems mapping and process optimization
Professional Profile
- 6–10 years in payments, fintech strategy, or financial systems optimization
- Experience working with international banking or payment infrastructure
- Strong systems-thinking and analytical problem-solving ability
