Position: Remote Financial Data Governance & Risk Control Specialist

Fintech platforms generate vast amounts of financial data, but without proper governance, this data becomes fragmented, insecure, and non-compliant—creating operational and regulatory risks.
Solution Mandate
This role is responsible for establishing robust data governance frameworks, ensuring that financial data is accurate, secure, compliant, and strategically usable.
Execution Framework
1. Data Governance Architecture
- Design and implement frameworks for managing financial data lifecycle
- Define data ownership, classification, and access control policies
- Ensure consistency and integrity across all data systems
2. Risk Control & Compliance
- Identify data-related risks including breaches, inconsistencies, and misuse
- Implement controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risks
- Ensure compliance with financial data protection regulations
3. Data Quality & Integrity Management
- Establish processes for validating and cleaning financial data
- Monitor data accuracy across systems and platforms
- Implement automated quality checks and validation tools
4. Strategic Data Utilization
- Enable secure and structured data usage for analytics and decision-making
- Support business intelligence initiatives with governed data frameworks
- Align data governance with organizational strategy
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, risk management, and fintech data systems
- Experience with databases, data management tools, and security protocols
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial data
Professional Profile
- 5–9 years in data governance, risk, or fintech data management
- Experience in regulated financial environments
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
