This role leads the design of a national payments grid capable of supporting entire economy-level transaction flows.
Mandate Architecture
1. Instant Payment Core
- Design a system supporting 24/7 real-time payments
- Ensure scalability to handle peak national transaction volumes
- Guarantee deterministic settlement finality
2. Interoperability Layer
- Connect banks, fintech platforms, government systems, and international networks
- Enable seamless cross-platform financial interactions
3. Liquidity & Settlement Engine
- Real-time liquidity management across participating institutions
- Intraday settlement optimization
- Reduction of systemic liquidity risk
4. Payment Innovation Layer
- QR-based payments, mobile-first infrastructure
- API exposure for fintech innovation
- Integration with digital identity systems
Critical Design Constraints
- Zero tolerance for downtime (national infrastructure requirement)
- Cyber-resilience against sophisticated threat vectors
- Privacy vs traceability balance in transaction data
Regulatory & Institutional Engagement
- Direct collaboration with central banks and financial authorities
- Alignment with global payment standards (ISO 20022, BIS frameworks)
- Contribution to future monetary system design
Candidate Profile
- 15–22 years in payments infrastructure, central banking systems, or financial networks
- Proven leadership in large-scale payment systems or national infrastructure projects
- Deep understanding of liquidity, settlement mechanics, and financial stability
Compensation & Strategic Weight
- $350,000 – $700,000 annually
- Long-term incentives tied to system adoption and economic impact
- Role influence extends to national financial architecture
