A rapidly growing financial technology institution shaping the future of digital finance across the GCC is seeking a highly accomplished Executive Cybersecurity Specialist – Digital Payments Security & Banking Infrastructure Defense to lead enterprise-wide cyber defense, threat intelligence operations, and security architecture across mission-critical payment platforms, digital banking systems, API banking services, treasury environments, and customer transaction ecosystems.
This is not a conventional cybersecurity role. It is a strategic leadership position where every security decision directly influences customer trust, financial continuity, transaction integrity, regulatory confidence, and institutional reputation.
The successful professional will protect the infrastructure behind millions of daily financial transactions, ensuring that payment gateways, merchant platforms, fraud prevention systems, customer onboarding services, and operational finance systems remain secure against sophisticated cyber threats.

Core Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy across digital payment platforms, banking APIs, merchant acquiring systems, and treasury operations
• Strengthen security monitoring across payment gateways, digital wallets, transaction systems, and enterprise financial reporting environments
• Manage advanced threat detection, SIEM operations, SOC frameworks, and incident response programs across financial infrastructure
• Conduct security assessments for APIs, applications, cloud environments, infrastructure platforms, and third-party integrations
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, fraud operations, treasury teams, DevOps leaders, and executive stakeholders
• Improve vulnerability management, penetration testing programs, and proactive security hardening across fintech systems
• Support compliance alignment with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, UAE financial regulations, and enterprise governance requirements
• Lead investigations involving suspicious transactions, fraud attempts, insider threats, and high-value infrastructure incidents
• Strengthen disaster recovery planning, cyber resilience strategies, and operational continuity across financial platforms
• Mentor security teams and establish long-term institutional cyber governance frameworks
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical discipline
• 7–10+ years of cybersecurity experience across fintech, banking, payments, or highly regulated financial environments
• Strong expertise in SIEM platforms, SOC operations, IAM, endpoint security, cloud security, and incident response
• Experience protecting payment systems, digital wallets, banking APIs, or enterprise transaction platforms
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, audit-ready security operations, and compliance-driven infrastructure security
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent are highly preferred
• Excellent leadership capability and high-pressure strategic incident response skills
