Position Overview
An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly analytical Credit Officer to support responsible lending decisions within a modern banking environment. The successful candidate will evaluate loan applications, assess borrower creditworthiness, conduct financial analysis, and collaborate with business and risk teams to ensure lending decisions align with established policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate retail, SME, and corporate credit applications.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and credit assessments.
- Review borrower repayment capacity and overall financial health.
- Prepare comprehensive credit evaluation reports.
- Recommend lending decisions based on risk analysis.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for performance and emerging risks.
- Ensure lending activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and risk teams.
- Review collateral documentation and supporting financial records.
- Support periodic credit reviews and portfolio monitoring.
- Maintain accurate credit documentation and records.
- Participate in credit committee preparation activities.
- Monitor market and economic trends affecting lending portfolios.
- Recommend improvements to credit assessment processes.
- Promote responsible lending practices throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in credit analysis, lending operations, or commercial banking.
- Strong financial statement analysis skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk principles and lending processes.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and banking applications.
