The Strategic Opportunity
A rapidly growing financial technology institution transforming payment operations across the GCC is seeking an exceptional Chief DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Fintech Payments Ecosystem to lead enterprise-wide infrastructure strategy, cloud-native modernization, and operational resilience across mission-critical digital payments, merchant acquiring systems, treasury integrations, and real-time transaction platforms.
This is far beyond a traditional DevOps position. It is a high-level strategic leadership role where every infrastructure decision directly impacts transaction reliability, settlement speed, customer trust, institutional scalability, and regulatory confidence.
The successful executive will own the engineering strategy behind high-availability payment gateways, API banking platforms, digital wallets, fraud prevention systems, treasury connectivity, and enterprise-wide deployment architecture across regulated financial environments.

Core Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise DevOps strategy across payment systems, transaction processing platforms, treasury operations, API banking services, and customer financial products
• Design and oversee cloud-native infrastructure supporting high-volume financial transactions, settlement workflows, and merchant payment ecosystems
• Build secure CI/CD frameworks enabling rapid, controlled, and audit-ready deployments across regulated fintech applications
• Strengthen Kubernetes orchestration, distributed microservices architecture, and platform reliability across digital finance operations
• Implement Infrastructure as Code frameworks ensuring scalable, repeatable, and secure infrastructure provisioning
• Collaborate with compliance, treasury, cybersecurity, fraud operations, and platform engineering teams to ensure governance-aligned operational excellence
• Improve monitoring, observability, incident response, and resilience engineering across mission-critical financial environments
• Lead disaster recovery planning, failover strategies, and business continuity frameworks across enterprise payment operations
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait financial regulations, PCI DSS standards, cloud security frameworks, and institutional audit requirements
• Mentor senior engineering teams while establishing long-term DevOps governance and infrastructure modernization strategies
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
• 8–12+ years of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or platform engineering experience with strong exposure to fintech, banking, or digital financial services
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP with advanced hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD ecosystems
• Experience supporting payment systems, treasury operations, digital wallets, and high-volume transaction platforms
• Strong knowledge of observability tools, incident management frameworks, and compliance-sensitive infrastructure operations
• Excellent leadership capability with executive stakeholder communication and strategic decision-making skills
