About the Role
An internationally recognized fintech banking environment is seeking an accomplished Principal UX/UI Innovation Designer to lead the creation of next-generation digital financial products that combine exceptional usability, elegant interface design, and intelligent customer experiences.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing sophisticated banking platforms supporting retail banking, corporate banking, digital lending, wealth management, investment services, payment ecosystems, financial analytics, and emerging financial technologies.
Working alongside senior executives, product strategists, engineers, cybersecurity professionals, compliance specialists, and customer experience teams, you will establish design standards that influence the future direction of digital finance across regional and international markets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise-wide UX/UI strategy for digital banking products.
- Design intuitive customer experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Lead end-to-end product discovery and design execution.
- Create information architecture and navigation frameworks for complex financial products.
- Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and high-fidelity interfaces.
- Develop scalable design systems supporting multiple banking products.
- Conduct usability testing, customer interviews, and behavioral research.
- Analyze user data to optimize engagement, retention, and product adoption.
- Ensure accessibility, compliance, and usability standards are consistently achieved.
- Partner with engineering teams during implementation to maintain design quality.
- Champion innovation through AI-enabled design methodologies and emerging UX technologies.
- Mentor designers and contribute to organizational design maturity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, UX Design, Digital Media, Human Factors, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- 8–12 years of professional UX/UI experience within fintech, banking, financial services, or enterprise technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex financial product design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative digital banking solutions.
- Experience working in Agile, Lean UX, and Design Thinking environments.
