Position Overview
A sophisticated fintech environment is seeking a Senior Payments Integration Specialist to lead the integration and optimization of multi-channel payment systems. This role centers on ensuring seamless interoperability between financial platforms, payment gateways, and banking infrastructures while maintaining high standards of security, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations with payment gateways, acquiring banks, and third-party financial service providers
- Manage API integrations, including RESTful services and webhook-based architectures
- Troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues across multiple transaction layers
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reduce latency
- Ensure compliance with regional and international payment standards
- Support the rollout of new payment methods including digital wallets and real-time payment systems
- Conduct system testing, validation, and documentation of integration processes
Technical Environment
- Payment protocols such as ISO 8583 and modern REST APIs
- Cloud-based infrastructure and microservices architecture
- Payment orchestration platforms and reconciliation systems
- Monitoring tools for transaction tracking and system health
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in payment systems integration or fintech engineering
- Strong understanding of card acquiring, issuing, and settlement processes
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance and secure coding practices
Preferred Skills
- Experience with real-time payment networks
- Knowledge of cross-border payment flows and FX considerations
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
