Position Overview
An innovative financial technology institution is seeking an accomplished Senior Digital Banking Operations Manager to lead enterprise-scale banking operations supporting next-generation digital financial services. This leadership role oversees operational excellence across payment processing, customer banking platforms, treasury support, settlement activities, regulatory compliance coordination, and continuous service optimization.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in transforming operational frameworks that enable secure, scalable, and highly resilient banking experiences for retail, SME, and corporate customers throughout the Gulf region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily digital banking operations across multiple financial products.
- Optimize payment processing, reconciliation, and settlement workflows.
- Develop operational risk mitigation strategies.
- Improve customer onboarding and account servicing efficiency.
- Coordinate with technology teams during digital platform deployments.
- Monitor operational KPIs and service availability.
- Strengthen AML, KYC, fraud prevention, and compliance procedures.
- Drive automation initiatives using AI and workflow technologies.
- Manage banking vendor relationships and service providers.
- Prepare executive operational performance reports.
- Support regional regulatory examinations and internal audits.
- Build and mentor high-performing operational teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 8+ years in digital banking or fintech operations.
- Strong understanding of payments, treasury operations, SWIFT, card services, and core banking platforms.
- Experience with operational excellence methodologies.
- Knowledge of banking regulations across GCC markets.
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
