Role Overview
A rapidly evolving fintech banking ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a highly vigilant and technically advanced Senior Banking Security Specialist – Digital Banking Protection, Fraud Prevention & Secure Payment Architecture to safeguard critical financial systems against increasingly sophisticated cyber and fraud threats.
This role is central to maintaining trust in digital banking environments, where millions of transactions, sensitive customer data, and real-time payment flows must remain secure, compliant, and resilient. You will operate at the intersection of cybersecurity, fraud analytics, and financial system architecture—ensuring that both infrastructure and user-facing services are protected end-to-end.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement security frameworks for digital banking platforms and payment systems
- Monitor and detect fraudulent activities across transactions, accounts, and payment channels
- Develop and deploy fraud detection models and real-time monitoring systems
- Secure APIs, mobile banking applications, and backend financial services
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
- Implement encryption, tokenization, and secure authentication mechanisms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into system architecture
- Investigate security incidents and lead response and remediation efforts
- Ensure compliance with UAE banking regulations, AML standards, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Maintain audit trails, reporting systems, and security documentation
- Continuously improve fraud detection and prevention strategies
- Stay updated on emerging threats in fintech and banking security
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in banking security, fraud prevention, or cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of payment systems, digital banking, and financial fraud patterns
- Experience with security tools, fraud detection systems, and monitoring platforms
- Knowledge of encryption standards, authentication protocols, and secure coding practices
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to respond effectively to security incidents
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
- Experience with fraud analytics and machine learning models
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS and financial compliance frameworks
- Exposure to cloud security and DevSecOps practices
