About the Opportunity
An internationally focused fintech organization is expanding its digital payments ecosystem across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and is seeking an accomplished Remote Fintech Payments Strategist to lead high-impact payment innovation initiatives.
This position is designed for professionals who possess a strong understanding of payment technologies, cross-border financial ecosystems, digital wallets, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, and emerging fintech trends. You will collaborate with executive leadership, engineering teams, regulators, banking partners, and product specialists to build scalable payment infrastructures capable of serving millions of users across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop regional payment strategies supporting business expansion across GCC markets.
- Lead implementation of innovative payment solutions including digital wallets and payment orchestration.
- Identify opportunities for payment optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout product development lifecycles.
- Analyze payment performance using advanced financial metrics and KPIs.
- Build strategic relationships with financial institutions and payment ecosystem partners.
- Drive merchant acquisition initiatives through payment innovation.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting payment operations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies including AI-driven payment intelligence.
- Produce executive reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional strategic workshops.
- Improve customer payment experiences through data-driven decision making.
- Support regional expansion initiatives and market entry strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems or related discipline.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years of fintech or digital payments experience.
- Strong knowledge of payment gateways, card acquiring, merchant services, APIs, digital banking, and financial technologies.
- Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.
- Experience working with multinational stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
