A rapidly growing financial technology organization is seeking a distinguished Principal Core Banking Developer to lead the engineering of next-generation banking platforms supporting account management, payment processing, digital lending, treasury services, customer engagement, and enterprise financial operations.
As a senior technical leader, you will define architectural standards, guide engineering excellence, and build resilient cloud-native applications that enable financial institutions to deliver world-class digital banking experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-scale core banking platforms.
- Build secure digital banking services and APIs.
- Develop intelligent payment orchestration engines.
- Create scalable microservice-based financial applications.
- Integrate third-party banking technologies.
- Optimize high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Develop automated reconciliation and financial reporting solutions.
- Lead architecture modernization initiatives.
- Mentor software engineering teams.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and product specialists.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
- 8+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.
- Expert proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C#, Go, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, or Quarkus.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Terraform.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advanced SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
- Expertise in distributed messaging, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native application development.
- Strong leadership and technical communication skills.
