About the Role
An internationally recognized fintech banking organization is seeking an experienced Director – Wholesale Banking & Institutional Finance to lead strategic banking relationships with multinational corporations, government entities, financial institutions, investment firms, and institutional clients across the Gulf region.
This executive position is responsible for driving business growth through sophisticated banking solutions that integrate treasury management, institutional payments, digital liquidity management, syndicated financing support, transaction banking, and advanced financial technologies. The successful candidate will oversee a diversified portfolio while delivering innovative banking solutions tailored to complex institutional financial requirements.
Working alongside executive leadership, treasury specialists, capital markets professionals, product executives, technology architects, compliance leaders, risk executives, and operations managers, you will contribute directly to the organization’s regional expansion and long-term strategic success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop strategic banking relationships with institutional and corporate clients.
- Lead business development initiatives for wholesale banking products and services.
- Structure customized treasury, liquidity, transaction banking, and payment solutions.
- Manage high-value institutional banking portfolios and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with product development teams to launch innovative financial solutions.
- Oversee financial analysis, portfolio performance, and profitability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with banking governance, operational standards, and internal policies.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery involving Treasury, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.
- Prepare executive business reviews and portfolio performance reports.
- Support regional expansion strategies and institutional client acquisition.
- Lead negotiations for complex financial solutions and strategic partnerships.
- Mentor relationship managers and banking specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- MBA or Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of wholesale banking, institutional banking, or corporate banking leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in transaction banking, treasury services, and institutional client management.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
