Position: Remote P2P Financial Systems Engineer
Location: Remote – Qatar
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Role Summary
The P2P Financial Systems Engineer will design and maintain the technical infrastructure supporting peer-to-peer financial transactions, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
This role is suited for professionals with strong expertise in distributed systems, payment processing, and real-time transaction architectures.
Core Technical Responsibilities
System Architecture & Development
- Design and implement backend systems supporting real-time P2P transactions
- Develop APIs for wallet services, user authentication, and transaction processing
- Ensure system scalability to handle high transaction volumes
Integration & Performance
- Integrate with banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party financial services
- Optimize system performance for low latency and high throughput
- Implement monitoring tools to track system health and transaction success rates
Security & Compliance
- Implement encryption, authentication, and fraud detection mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data protection laws in Qatar
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
Technical Requirements
- Programming: Java, Python, or Node.js
- Frameworks: Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs
- Databases: SQL/NoSQL systems
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience Profile
- 4–8 years in software engineering or fintech systems development
- Experience with payment systems or digital wallets
- Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles and distributed systems
Performance Metrics
- Transaction success rate and system uptime
- API response times and scalability
- Security incident prevention and resolution
