Role Overview
A rapidly expanding fintech initiative in Riyadh is seeking a strategic and highly organized Lead Payments Operations Manager – Transaction Processing, Risk Control & Payment Network Management to lead operational excellence across its payment infrastructure.
This role focuses on managing high-volume transaction processing systems, ensuring operational integrity, and maintaining strong control frameworks to mitigate risks. You will oversee payment network integrations, manage operational teams, and ensure that all payment activities are executed with precision and compliance.
You will also play a key role in scaling operations as the platform grows, ensuring that systems and processes remain efficient and resilient.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead payment operations across multiple channels and networks
- Oversee transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation activities
- Implement risk control frameworks to minimize operational and financial risks
- Manage relationships with payment networks, banks, and service providers
- Monitor system performance and ensure operational efficiency
- Develop and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Saudi financial regulations and payment standards
- Conduct operational audits and performance reviews
- Mentor and manage operations teams
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance system capabilities
- Track KPIs and operational metrics
- Support scaling of payment operations infrastructure
Required Candidate Profile
- Degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline
- 6+ years of experience in payments operations or financial services
- Strong understanding of payment networks and transaction processing
- Experience with risk management and operational controls
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cross-border payments
- Knowledge of payment compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with automation and process optimization tools
