Role Overview
This role is designed for a fintech professional specializing in payment operations within the hospitality ecosystem, where seamless guest experiences must align with secure, efficient financial processing.
As a Hospitality Payments Operations Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end payment lifecycle across hotel booking platforms, on-property transactions, and third-party travel integrations, ensuring reliability, compliance, and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize multi-channel payment operations including online bookings, POS systems, and mobile payments
- Oversee payment flows across global distribution systems (GDS), online travel agencies (OTAs), and direct booking platforms
- Monitor transaction processing, settlement cycles, refunds, and chargeback handling
- Ensure compliance with regional financial regulations and international payment standards
- Collaborate with hotel operations teams to align fintech systems with guest service workflows
- Implement fraud detection and prevention mechanisms within hospitality transactions
- Develop reporting dashboards to track payment performance, revenue leakage, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, or Information Systems
- 4–7 years of experience in fintech, payment operations, or hospitality finance
- Strong knowledge of payment gateways, card networks, and reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with hotel booking systems and hospitality financial workflows
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating payment APIs with hotel management systems (PMS)
- Analytical proficiency using Excel, SQL, or BI tools
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
