A rapidly scaling fintech payments operator in Dubai is expanding its real-time settlement and merchant acquiring infrastructure across multiple GCC markets and is hiring a Head of Fintech Payments & Real-Time Settlement Systems.
This is a high-pressure, high-volume payments leadership role responsible for ensuring millions of daily transactions move seamlessly across wallet systems, merchant networks, and cross-border rails without disruption.
The organization operates in a fast-moving environment covering:
- Real-time payments
- Merchant acquiring networks
- Digital wallets
- Card processing infrastructure
- Cross-border settlement systems
- API-based payment orchestration
You will be directly responsible for how money moves through the system — in real time.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own end-to-end payment processing and settlement operations
- Ensure real-time transaction flow stability across multiple markets
- Improve payment authorization success rates and reduce failure points
- Oversee reconciliation between banks, merchants, and processors
- Lead expansion of merchant acquiring networks across GCC
- Work with engineering teams on payment system performance tuning
- Resolve high-impact transaction failures and system bottlenecks
- Drive improvements in settlement speed, accuracy, and reliability
What They Expect
- 8–15 years experience in fintech payments, banking operations, or transaction systems
- Strong understanding of:
- Payment lifecycle (authorization → clearing → settlement)
- Merchant acquiring systems
- Card networks (Visa/Mastercard ecosystem exposure)
- Payment gateways and switching systems
- Experience handling high-volume financial systems
- Strong operational leadership under pressure
