A remote fintech operation aligned with Oman’s evolving financial ecosystem is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submission of financial and operational reports to relevant authorities. This role requires a structured, detail-oriented professional capable of interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating them into actionable reporting processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Execution
- Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports covering transactions, liquidity, and operational metrics
- Ensure all reporting aligns with local regulatory expectations and international standards
- Maintain strict adherence to reporting timelines and submission protocols
Data Validation & Integrity
- Verify accuracy and completeness of financial and transactional data
- Reconcile discrepancies between internal systems and reported figures
- Implement validation checks to ensure data reliability
Policy Interpretation
- Analyze regulatory updates and assess their impact on reporting requirements
- Collaborate with compliance teams to interpret new guidelines
- Translate regulatory language into internal reporting procedures
Audit & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive records for audit purposes
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Document methodologies used in report preparation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data reporting tools
- Familiarity with financial databases and reporting systems
- Basic knowledge of SQL is advantageous
