Role Summary
This role is centered on identifying operational inefficiencies in payment gateway systems and implementing solutions to enhance transaction performance, reliability, and scalability.
Problem–Solution Framework
Transaction Failures
Solution:
- Analyze failed transactions to identify root causes
- Implement corrective measures to reduce failure rates
- Improve validation and routing mechanisms
Processing Delays
Solution:
- Monitor transaction processing times
- Identify system bottlenecks
- Optimize workflows to improve speed
System Downtime & Instability
Solution:
- Track system availability and uptime metrics
- Coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues
- Implement preventive measures to ensure stability
Data Inconsistencies
Solution:
- Reconcile transaction data across systems
- Identify discrepancies and correct errors
- Maintain accurate financial records
Scalability Challenges
Solution:
- Evaluate system performance under high transaction volumes
- Recommend improvements for scalability
- Support infrastructure enhancements
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor payment gateway performance
- Resolve operational issues
- Optimize transaction workflows
- Generate performance reports
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in payment systems or fintech operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
