Position: Remote Fintech Fraud Prevention & Transaction Monitoring Specialist
Location: Remote (Oman)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Objective
To protect fintech platforms by detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraudulent activities and transaction risks through advanced monitoring systems and analytical techniques.
Responsibility Matrix
Fraud Detection & Analysis
- Monitor real-time transaction data for suspicious activities
- Develop and refine fraud detection rules and algorithms
- Investigate flagged transactions and determine risk levels
Transaction Monitoring Systems
- Manage and optimize transaction monitoring tools
- Configure alerts and thresholds for risk detection
- Ensure system accuracy and minimize false positives
Risk Mitigation
- Implement preventive measures to reduce fraud exposure
- Collaborate with compliance teams on AML initiatives
- Support incident response and fraud resolution processes
Reporting & Insights
- Generate reports on fraud trends and risk metrics
- Provide insights to improve system security
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Experience with fraud detection systems and analytics tools
- Knowledge of AML, KYC, and financial crime prevention
- Strong data analysis and pattern recognition skills
- Familiarity with fintech transaction flows
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience in fraud prevention, risk analysis, or fintech operations
- Background in banking, payments, or financial services
- Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset
