Job Title: Remote Fintech Cybersecurity & Risk Analyst
Country Focus: Bahrain
Engagement Type: Full-Time Remote
Position Objective
To strengthen the cybersecurity posture of fintech systems by identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring threats, and ensuring that financial platforms operate securely within a regulated digital environment.
Key Functions & Deliverables
Cybersecurity Monitoring
- Monitor systems for suspicious activities and potential breaches
- Analyze security logs and alerts from fintech platforms
- Respond to incidents and escalate critical threats
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Conduct periodic risk assessments on financial systems
- Identify vulnerabilities in payment systems, APIs, and digital platforms
- Recommend and implement mitigation strategies
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to Bahrain’s financial cybersecurity regulations
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews
- Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections
Collaboration & Advisory
- Work with engineering teams to embed security controls
- Provide recommendations on secure system architecture
- Support training initiatives on cybersecurity awareness
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity within fintech or banking
- Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
- Familiarity with financial systems and transaction security
Technical Competencies
- Security tools (SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners)
- Network security and encryption protocols
- API security and cloud security fundamentals
