Role Overview
The Cross-Border Payments Specialist will manage and optimize international transaction flows, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. This role is central to enhancing global payment connectivity within a fintech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cross-border payment operations, including remittances and international transfers
- Manage FX conversion processes and optimize exchange rate application
- Ensure compliance with international payment regulations and sanctions requirements
- Coordinate with correspondent banks and payment partners
- Monitor transaction flows for delays, failures, or anomalies
- Optimize transaction routing to reduce costs and improve speed
- Support the implementation of new international payment corridors
Operational Scope
- SWIFT transactions and alternative payment rails
- Multi-currency account management
- Payment settlement and reconciliation processes
- Cross-border compliance and reporting
Technical Environment
- Payment processing systems and FX platforms
- Transaction monitoring and analytics tools
- API integrations with banking and fintech partners
- Financial reporting and reconciliation systems
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years experience in payments, remittances, or fintech operations
- Strong understanding of cross-border payment systems
- Knowledge of FX markets and currency conversion mechanisms
- Familiarity with AML, sanctions screening, and compliance requirements
