Position Overview
A rapidly evolving fintech environment is seeking a Fintech API & Platform Integration Specialist to support the seamless connectivity of digital financial services across multiple platforms. This role plays a vital function in enabling interoperability between banking systems, third-party providers, and fintech applications through secure and scalable API integrations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that system integrations are efficient, reliable, and aligned with both business objectives and regulatory expectations within the UAE’s financial ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain API integrations connecting financial systems, payment gateways, and external service providers
- Ensure secure data exchange protocols and adherence to financial data protection standards
- Troubleshoot integration failures, latency issues, and system inconsistencies
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define integration requirements
- Support the deployment of new fintech features through API-driven architecture
- Monitor API performance and optimize throughput and response times
- Document integration workflows, system architecture, and technical processes
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- 4–7 years of experience in fintech integration, API development, or platform engineering
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with financial systems such as payment processors and digital banking platforms
- Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and secure coding practices
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of Open Banking frameworks and API standardization
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
