The Opportunity
An internationally recognised fintech organisation is accelerating the expansion of its API-first financial ecosystem and seeks an experienced Executive Director – Financial API Ecosystems & Platform Engineering.
This strategic leadership role will oversee enterprise API architecture, platform engineering, developer enablement, financial integrations, and cloud-native infrastructure supporting banks, payment providers, merchants, and enterprise customers.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise API strategy.
- Lead platform engineering transformation.
- Build scalable developer ecosystems.
- Oversee API governance frameworks.
- Strengthen enterprise cloud architecture.
- Optimize platform reliability.
- Enhance financial integration services.
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Improve system interoperability.
- Establish engineering excellence standards.
- Collaborate with product and security leadership.
- Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Present strategic technology initiatives to executive leadership.
- Promote continuous platform innovation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 12+ years of enterprise engineering experience.
- Significant fintech or banking technology background.
- Strong leadership in platform engineering.
- Experience delivering cloud-native enterprise solutions.
