Engineering Challenge
Modern payment platforms must process enormous transaction volumes while maintaining security, availability, low latency, data integrity, and fault tolerance.
We are looking for a highly capable engineer to design and strengthen the technical infrastructure responsible for secure payment processing and transaction orchestration.
Responsibilities

Design and implement secure transaction-processing services.

Develop highly available payment APIs and backend services.

Engineer systems capable of handling high-volume, low-latency transaction workloads.

Implement authentication, authorisation, encryption, tokenisation, and secure-service communication.

Develop controls for detecting transaction anomalies and technical abuse.
-
Build resilient integrations with banks, payment processors, merchants, and financial platforms.
-
Conduct performance testing and capacity planning.
-
Diagnose production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
-
Improve observability through logging, tracing, metrics, and automated alerting.
-
Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists on application and infrastructure security.
-
Participate in architecture reviews and technical design sessions.
-
Develop automated testing and continuous-delivery pipelines.
-
Contribute to disaster-recovery and high-availability engineering strategies.
Technical Requirements
-
5–9 years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience.

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Go, C#, or comparable languages.

Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and databases.

Experience with cloud platforms and containerised environments.
-
Understanding of payment processing and financial transaction architectures.

Knowledge of secure software-development practices.

Experience with CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and production operations.

Indicative Compensation
QAR 30,000–45,000 monthly + benefits, dependent on technical expertise and seniority.

The successful Engineer will help create payment infrastructure that is secure by design, resilient under extreme transaction loads, observable in real time, and engineered for continuous availability.
